Studio 8 is more than design – it’s a statement. A gesture of consistency not depending on any time or spacial framing. The objects receive their full strength by formal reservation. The focus lies on the quality of material and the symblolic depth of high standard craftmanship. Straight silhouettes, massive surfaces, unpretentious structures - the essence of pure form by clear design.

EXOTIC

The tropical bird made of the finest bisque Porcelain embodies the fascinating beauty of nature in simple, elegant white. The play of light and shadow reveals the fine details of the naturalistic design, lending the figurine a touch of liveliness.

The partially glazed base forms a harmonic contrast and completes this graceful combination of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design - a special eye-catcher in any interior.

NEW

ARCHITECTURE

The functional pottery is inspired by column fragments of ancient Greek architecture. The combination of biscuit Porcelain, circular elements and structure adapts vases and the candle holder to a modern perception. The originated forms spend a lot of space for plants, bouquets and other creative flower arrangements.

"Georgina is the game of circular elements and surfaces that are brought together to create a functional design.“

FACIAL EXPRESSION

IIn terms of body language facial expressions (lat.: vultus) include all important parts of the face and their capability of expressing emotions. This modern interpretation of ancient head planters plays around with emotional expressions shown by a human face. Dot, dot, comma, dash - the most minimalistic form of the face is main feature of the vases.

Size, concept and ceramic realization complement each other which favors any individual combination. Suitable for bouquets and planting.

TASTE

Company brand, commercial actor or health booster - the popularity of the apple as food or symbol is unbroken. We still implicate the traditional meaning of power and reproductiveness to it.

Studio 8 celebrates the good taste with a whole series of fruity figurines called Art & Apple transforming the apple into a decorative status symbol. White glazed, real gold covered or decorated with brass miniatures - you’ll definetely get an impressive and exclusive piece of art.

FACETTES

The series of Serengeti consists of the strong lion, the proud elefant and the tough rhinoceros. They present some of the most powerful animals on the African continent. The formal language of the prominent facetting design expresses masculin elegance. The shield-like surface leaves out naturalistic details in favor of the dominant appearance. Available in biskuit white, anthracite or with real gold and platinum highlights.

"The perfection of a form depends on ideal curves and harmonious surfaces. It underlines the individual Character of the animal sculptures and is intuitively understandable.”
Thorsten Lazina • Product Manager

HORSE POWER

Horses are gracious creatures symbolizing freedom, speed and beauty. Pure biscuit Porcelain annobels these features by transforming them into decorative status figurines. Unlike glazed alternatives the typical biscuit surface emphasize the natural appearance and powerful moves of the horses frozen to elegant poses.

CLARITY

As head designer at Strenesse, Gabriele Strehle made a significant contribution to establishing German fashion as a global name already in the 1980s. Her creations are true perfection of ideal fit and exquisite materials. Fitting the German national soccer team and creating uniforms for Lufthansa company were two major achievements in the 1990s. Gabriele Strehle received the Federal Cross of Merit and as only German designer the Oscar della Moda. We dedicate a whole collection to her signature of clear lines.

"Good style is clarity. It knows no pretense. And good style is Familiarity; something, that delights our senses.”
Gabriele Strehle • Designer

HANDCRAFTED

The art of pottery is one of the oldest and most fascinating cultural techniques of human mankind. The manufacturing processes have hardly changed over millennia. Very few tools are still necessary for processing. The natural material is shaped by hand, kneaded, freely sculpted, or spun on the potter’s wheel. The result is always unique, bearing the individual signature of its creator. The small series were created in a collaboration between Goebel and a Thai pottery. They play with the originality of the material and dare transformation always balancing between old and new – a captivating trend far from industrially manufactured monotony.
