In the 1960s modelers from Goebel sculpted the first angels in creative development processes. Especially Goebel‘s Christmas collection includes different characters, such as heavenly messengers, cheerful snowmen, forest animals and luck bringing chimney sweeps. Inspired by the Christmas spirit, the change of year and the winter season, every handcrafted detail is an expression of warmth and quality.

CHRISTMAS

In 1997, the first annual angel was created, an annual limited edition that has enjoyed great popularity ever since. Over the years, the annual bell and the annual ball were also established. The annual angel bell, created in 1994, served as inspiration for the annual angel.

The annual editions match the coloring of the respective annual color.

ANNUAL EDITIONS

They are already part of the tradition - our lovingly designed heavenly messengers in champagne and bordeaux. Their world of music, warmness of heart and protective blessing finds expression in a festive appearance. Sometimes childishly light and playful, sometimes with graceful charisma, they all ring in the festive season of love. The metallic shimmering champagne as well as the powerful bordeaux red of the dresses are decorated with gold color – sometimes painted by hand or gold patterns are applied using decals.

HEAVENLY MESSENGERS

The first edition of the angel orchestra "Heavenly Sounds" from Goebel was created in 2000. Every year, the heavenly orchestra is supplemented by another musician angel.

Two graceful angels with hearts made from the finest bisque porcelain and adorable little angel pendants as messengers of love, comfort and sweet dreams are also new in the Gloria series.

GUARDIAN ANGELS

In the Winter Forest there is a lot going on for Christmas season. The children are already full of joy and ideas for decoration, presents and fun time with friends. The landscape of trees and winter houses gives every room a magical ambience, especially in the evening when the lights in the houses shine brightly. Appropriately, the heavenly messengers and children join in and of course the funny forest animals cannot be missed.

IN THE

SANTA CLAUS

Nativity Scenes, of course, should not be missing for Christmas Season. In addition to the enchanting figurines of Mary, Joseph, Baby Jesus and the three holy kings, there is also a shepherd, an ox, a donkey and a sheep. The matching nativity stable is covered with snow and can be illuminated with a tea light, which provides the perfect setting for the charming ensemble. The complete set makes an exceptional reflective decoration for Christmas.

NATIVITY

The porcelain figurines from the Nina and Marco collection appear loving, gentle and very cute. They tell stories of cheerful, happy angel children. The delicate color nuances and the special surface with incorporated dots and hatched lines distinguish the unmistakable character. The artist Julia E. Limpke modeled countless clay figurines over the years and thus created the template for our collection. This is how little guardian angels as well as winter angels and busy helpers in the Christmas bakery are created year after year.

The artist was born on June the 5th 1952 in St. Louis, Missouri, where she still lives. Her artwork includes paintings, illustrated books and cards as well as many different accessories reproducing her work. Especially her childhood memories inspire her colorful pattern and framings as well as her children’s illustrations. Mary’s artwork is a combination of the typical „American way of Christmas“ and her own world of experiences and imagination.
